Nabil Habayeb

Nabil Habayeb is a member of the board of directors of the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington. He is a veteran professional at GE with over three decades of experience in senior managerial positions. Habayeb has served as the president and CEO of GE Middle East, North Africa & Turkey (MENAT) since 2004. Passionate about health care, education, and youth empowerment and championing the role of women in business leadership, Habayeb leads GE’s operations in MENAT with a particular focus on complementing the region’s developmental goals. A member of GE’s Corporate Executive Council, he drives the company’s regional growth with an emphasis on strengthening partnerships, promoting localized innovation, and empowering human capital development. Since joining GE in 1982, Habayeb has undertaken international field assignments across diverse business sectors and geographies. He serves on the boards of INJAZ Al Arab and the Arab Forum for Environment and Development as well as the U.S.-Saudi Business Council. He is also a trustee of the Balamand University and the American University of Beirut.
